Artists will be notified of selection by Dec. 8th. Artists will be provided with a primed rain barrel and must use acrylic, non-oil based paints to complete their design. Artists must be able to pick up their rain barrel from MRCN office between Dec. 8th-15th, 2009. Artists must complete and return the rain barrel back to the MRCN office between February 1-5th, 2010. Missouri River Communities Network, 200 Old 63, suite 203, Columbia, MO 65201. All proceeds will benefit MRCN in it’s mission to improve Best Management Practices and awareness of storm water issues.

Call to Artists:
Les Bourgeois 12th Annual Wine Label Art Competition

Any two-dimensional work suitable for reproduction on a wine label is eligible.

Due to label dimensions, vertically oriented pieces are preferred. Previous years’ Collector’s Series labels are posted on the Les Bourgeois website at www.missouriwine.com.

Wine-related subject matter is not required.

Competition is for artwork only, not label design. Les Bourgeois is solely responsible for determining composition of label design.

All entries must be received by Les Bourgeois on or before December 31, 2009.

Winners will be notified by February 1, 2010 and posted on Les Bourgeois’ website at www.missouriwine.com.

The Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) invites artists working in mosaic media to submit applications to Mosaic Arts International 2010. Held in conjunction with SAMA's annual conference, the juried exhibit presents the best in contemporary mosaics from SAMA's diverse international membership. Always a highlight with the visiting public, the exhibition unites compelling materials, innovative design and masterful technique currently explored by artists working in the medium. $5,000 in awards are presented, including Best in Show. Categories include 2D, 3D and Architectural mosaics.

Jury Fee: $45.00
